This week’s featured project highlights the design and delivery of a complete 400L stainless steel pilot-scale distillation system, engineered for high-precision separation and purification in demanding R&D and small-scale production environments.
Key System Specifications:
Distillation Vessel: 400L capacity, constructed from SUS304 stainless steel with a triple-layer insulated jacket.
Pressure Rating: Working pressure of 2 bar, design pressure of 4 bar for enhanced safety and durability.
Agitation System: Explosion-proof 1.1kW motor with gear reducer, driving a variable-speed paddle agitator (0–280 rpm) for optimized mixing.
Visibility & Connectivity: Kettle lid includes multiple ports and two sight glasses (one with integrated lighting) for full process monitoring and flexible integration.
High-Efficiency Separation Column
The system features a 4-meter tall packed column, modularly built in SUS304 and filled with 700CY structured packing to maximize vapor-liquid contact and separation efficiency. An electric heating mantle ensures precise temperature control throughout the column, maintaining ideal thermal gradients.
Condensation & Reflux Control
Vapors are efficiently condensed in a 3㎡ coil-type condenser before entering the advanced reflux system. A reflux splitter with solenoid valve allows accurate, automated adjustment of the reflux ratio, enabling fine-tuned process control and consistent output quality.
Material Integrity & Product Purity
All wetted components—including dual 100L stainless steel receiving tanks, a 2L cold trap with drain valve, piping, and fittings—are manufactured from corrosion-resistant SUS304 stainless steel, ensuring uncompromised product purity and long-term system reliability.
Safe & Centralized Operation
The entire setup is managed through a centralized explosion-proof control cabinet, designed for safe operation in hazardous or volatile environments. As part of our turnkey service, we also supplied reference design drawings to facilitate the fabrication of support platforms for the column and condenser.
